Social Media Comments...Personal Attacks?

I am active on Twitter and Facebook.  Some subjects get my adrenaline flowing and I'll reply with gusto, but I attack the idea, not the person making the comments I disagree with.  We all have opinions, some valid, some not so much.  But it's just an "opinion" created by our personal belief system....not necessarily right or wrong.

Not everyone thinks this way however.  Take the #Occupy Movement...the hard core, really believe they are doing good for the so called 99%.  I, on the other hand, think the movement is socialism in action and a bunch of silly horse crap!  But while I disagree with the #Occupy Blogger's & Tweeters, I don't threaten them personally or call them vile names.

So folks be kind in your disagreements with others opinions....remember, don't shoot the messenger!

Republicans vs Tea party...Same or Different?

Most followers of the GOP and The Tea Party have watched the debates, Tweeting opinions in real time.  The last debate yesterday was dubbed the "CNN Tea Party Debate".  Where then is the Republican Party Debate or the GOP Candidates?  Is the Tea Party now synonymous with the Republican Party?  If so, that will be a problem in November of 2012.  Why?  Because Independents and Democrats view the Tea Party as a bunch of radical right-wing, Constitution thumping nut-jobs!

The GOP, despite the decrease in the polls of Obama and his failed policies, or "Change", needs the votes of some Democrats and a lot of Independents to win in 2012!
The Grand Old Party (GOP), as the Republican Party is sometimes referred to, can trace its roots back to the United States Democratic-Republican Party, with an anti-monarchy, pro-decentralization and pro-entrepreneur leanings, which it subsequently broke away from in 1854 owing to their increasingly leftist agenda. Its rise to power was swift, where its candidate, Abraham Lincoln, won the presidency in 1860, barely four years after they fielded their first candidate in a national election and six years after its formation. Since then, they have had another 17 Republican presidents, serving a total of 88 years.

The party boasts of 55 million registered voters, the second largest in the country, and is known as an advocate of American conservatism, espousing the role of religion, nationalism and economics at its core.

Former Republican Presidents: Lincoln (1861-1865), Grant (1869-1877), Hayes (1877-1881), Garfield (1881), Arthur (1881-1885), Harrison (1889-1893), McKinley (1897-1901), T. Roosevelt (1901-1909), Taft (1909-1913), Harding (1921-1923), Coolidge (1923-1929), Hoover (1929-1933), Eisenhower (1953-1961), Nixon (1969-1974), Ford (1974-1977), Reagan (1981-1989), Bush, H (1989-1993), Bush, W (2001-2009)

Agenda 21, NWO, Appocalypse, and 2012

I am amazed at the number of people on Twitter who fear and embrace the ideas of the NWO (New World Order) and the UN Agenda 21 as sinister  conspiracies against the people of the United States and our personal freedoms.  Yet these same folks scoff at the idea of us living in the End Times, the coming Apocalypse and the Mayan Calendar end on 12-21-12! Huh?

If anything, these are both symbolic of the same disintegration of humankind and our humanity.  Why is it more acceptable to think "evil, power hungry humans" control the destiny of man than the idea that "fate, celestial mechanics, or GOD" controls our destiny?  Both trains of thought are beyond the control of the average person.  Both imply we are powerless to effect our own lives!  IMHO...these are mere reflections of the real issue...the End Times.

What is Constitutional Government?

by Woodrow Wilson

My object in the following lectures is to examine the government of the United States as a constitutional system as simply and directly as possible, with an eye to practice, not to theory.

And yet at the very outset it is necessary to pause upon a theory. The government of the United States cannot be intelligently discussed as a constitutional system until government; and the answer to that question is in effect a theory of politics.

By a constitutional government we, of course, do not mean merely a government conducted according to the government with which our thoughts deal at all has a definite constitution, written or unwritten, and we should not dream of speaking of all modern government as "constitutional." Not even when their constitutions are written with the utmost definiteness of formulation. The constitution of England, the most famous of constitutional governments and, in a sense, the mother of them all, is not written, and the constitution of Russia might be without changing the essential character of the Czars power. A constitutional government is one whose powers have been adapted to the interests of its people and to the maintenance of individual liberty. That, in brief, is the conception we constantly make use of, but seldom analyze, when we speak of constitutional governments.

Roughly speaking, constitutional government may be said to have had its rise at Runnymede, when the barons of England exacted Magna Carta of John; and that famous transaction we may take as the dramatic embodiment alike of the theory and of the practice we seek. The barons met John at Runnymede, a body of armed men in counsel, for a parley which, should it not end as they wished it to end, was to be but a prelude to rebellion. They were not demanding new laws or better, but a righteous and consistent administration of laws they regarded as already established, their immemorial birthright as Englishmen. They had found John whimsical, arbitrary, untrustworthy, never to be counted on to follow any fixed precedent or limit himself by any common understanding, a lying master who respected no mans rights and thought only of having his own will; and they came to have a final reckoning with him. And so they thrust Magna Carta under his hand to be a signed, - a document of definition, which must henceforth be respected, of practices until now indulged in which must be given over and remedied altogether, of ancient methods too long abandoned to which the king must return; and their proposal was this: -Give us your solemn promise as monarch that this document shall be your guide and rule in all your dealings with us, attest that promise by your sign manual attached in solemn form, admit certain of our number a committee to observe the keeping of the covenant, and we are your subjects in all peaceful form and obedience; -refuse, and we are your enemies, absolved of our allegiance and free to choose a king who will rule us as he should.-Swords made uneasy stir in their scabbards, and John had no choice but to sign. These were the only terms upon which government could be conducted among Englishmen.

That was the beginning of constitutional government, and shows the nature of that government in its simplest form. There at Runnymede a people came to an understanding with its government which we now call "constitutional," ’ the ideal of a government conducted upon the basis of a definite understanding, if need be of a formal pact, between those who are to submit to it and those who are to conduct it, with a view to making government an instrument of the general welfare rather than an arbitrary, self-willed master, doing what it pleases, - and particularly for the purpose of safeguarding individual liberty.

The immortal service of Magna Carta was its formulation of the liberties of the individual in their adjustment to the law. The day of Magna Carta was not a day in which men spoke of political liberty or acted upon set programs of political reform; but the history of constitutional government in the modern world is the history of political liberty, the history of all that men have striven for in the reform of government, and one has the right to expect to get out of it at least a workable conception of what liberty is. Certainly the documents of English history and the utterances of the greater public men on both sides of the water supply abundant material for the definition. "If any one ask me what a free government is, I reply, it is what the people think so," said Burke, going to the heart of the matter. The Declaration of Independence speaks to the same effect. We think of it as a highly theoretical document, but except for its assertion that all men are equal it is not. It is intensely practical, even upon the question of liberty. It names as among the "inalienable rights" of man the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, as does the Virginia constitution and many another document of the time; but it expressly leaves to each generation of men the determination of what they will do with their lives, what they will prefer as the form and object of their liberty, in what they will seek their happiness. Its chief justification of the right of the colonists to break with the mother country is the assertion that men have always the right to determine for themselves by their own preferences and their own circumstances whether the government they live under is based upon such principles or administered according to such forms as are likely to effect their safety and happiness. In brief, political liberty is the right of those who are governed to adjust government to their own needs and interests.

That is the philosophy of constitutional government. Every generation, as Burke said, sets before itself some favorite object which it pursues as the very substance of its liberty and happiness. The ideals of liberty cannot be fixed on the generation; only its conception can be, the large image of what it is. Liberty fixed in unalterable law would be no liberty at all. Government is a part of life, and, with life, it must change, alike in its objects and in its practices; only this principle must remain unaltered, - this principle of liberty, that there must be the freest right and opportunity of adjustment. Political liberty consists in the best practicable adjustment between the power of the government and the privilege of the individual; and the freedom to alter the adjustment is as important as the adjustment itself for the case and progress of the affairs and the contentment of the citizen.

Tweet Too Much to Blog!

I've been Tweeting to much on Twitter to Blog.  Seems like anything I would Blog about has been said on Twitter...my bad!  Also, I have been unmotivated, falling into a pit of personal despair, that only alcohol and prescription drugs can cure!  (not really, but it sounds dramatic)

As this is posted on am working diligently of related new Posts for my Blogs...stay tuned !

Twitter or Blogger?

So much to say, so little time!  I probably should count the Tweets I do in a given day...a few dozen easily! so many subjects are covered I abandon my Blog content.  Perhaps each should be for a specific subject range?  Twitter is a political rant outlet at this point.  allowing that to remain, this Blog can therefore cover the other subject areas important to me...2012, The Apocalypse, Survival, other random thoughts.  Politics may however rear it's ugly head, from time to time....I mean after all, Liberals are easily made fun of and criticised for their errant thinking!

GOP Watershed Moment?

The first GOP Debate, live from New Hampshire should inspire winners to win and losers to withdraw!  Nothing says "A Party in Disarray" like a dozen candidates fumbling to make their positions known, saying "Pick me, Pick me!".

After tonight...the winners...I predict Bachmann and Cain, should gain support.  All the others should just go home.  They could not win the last two elections and if they lose tonight, they won't win in 2012.  No point beating a dead horse, just say thank you, and leave the field of battle!

Sarah Palin is playing it cool.  There may a few other "dark horses" just waiting for the fluff to blow away before testing the waters.  Politics as so many metaphors!

A New US Constitution for the 21st Century?

Libertarians and Right Wing conservatives love to quote the US Constitution, a document written in an agrarian society, 225 years ago!  Surely we, as a modern nation in the 21st Century, can adopt and write a more fitting document to govern our country?  Today we are a high tech, mobile, urban society, with global reach and connections.  While the founding fathers made great decisions for their time...they were for their time!

In 2011, American society is more diverse, multi-lingual, multi-religious or non-religious, urban, multi-sexual...White Anglo-Saxon Protestants, a minority.  A more current document would reflect these changes in society that mere amendments to the existing document would not address.

A modern constitution may include:
  • Bill of Rights reflecting contemporary sexual mores, disabilities, and religious freedoms
  • 21st Century Economic realities on a global playing field...trade, employment, etc.
  • War Powers and Defense issues in an age of terrorism, Post 9/11 (Patriot Act, power of the President to wage war, etc.)
  • Separation of church and state issues more clearly defined
  • Separation of powers of the legislation, judicial, and administration more clearly spelled out for contemporary conditions.
  • Term limits  for all levels of government and a Balanced Budget provision
  • Emphasis on States Rights and reduction and scope of Federal Government
I am not going to write the damn document, I am just pointing out the possible necessity and some areas to consider.  Most will object to the entire concept...others may think about it and ponder the implications.  I merely put the idea forth.

The Apocalypse...One Disaster at a Time!

May 21, 2011 has come and gone, although a few earthquakes happened, no big deal right?  Then the next day...Sunday...and for the next week, a huge outbreak of tornadoes in the US Mid-West, thousands injured & hundreds killed...damage in the $Billions!  Floods also ravage the Mississippi and Ohio Valley....soon the Missouri and Columbia Rivers will reach flood stage!  Drought is a concern in other parts of the US and world.  Wars and civil unrest grow daily in the Mid-East.  World Peace is not even an afterthought.

Perhaps people are numb to the chaos in the world?  Daily doses of live TV and Internet news about all these calamities and events saturate our minds.  Can no one recognize the increase in disasters?  Do folks think this is all a mere coincidence?  Do they not realize it will only continue to get worse as 12-21-12 draws near?

The Apocalypse will not be all at once, but increasing disasters, one at a time until the last disaster...THE END!

Judgement Day...7 Days to Go!

Well, I brought this up this morning at the "Old Farts Meeting" by the fireplace.  Since almost all seniors here are either agnostic or heathens...they think this is a load of horse manure.  They believe in Evolution.  They believe that Barry Obama will save them, not Jesus Christ.  Wait, there is more...a few are also ex-cons...they don't like cops or justice or prison for criminal deeds.  With attitudes like this, they are all Democrats!  Go figure.

I'll just say this....IF you don't believe, you'll burn in HELL!  Have a nice May 21st.

Armegeddon, The Rapture, & the Return of Jesus Christ 05-21-11 Judgement Day!

OK, it's official according to an Evangelical church group, Family Radio, the world ends on May 21st, 2011. Not exactly, the more common date of 12-21-12, but hey, being off a year and a few months based on calculations done hundreds or thousands of years ago, without calculators or computers, is probably pretty damn close!  But wait millions are preparing for that Mayan date of December 21, 2012...some aren't ready!  If true this new date will really suck.

2011 AD—On May 21st, Judgment Day will begin and the rapture (the taking up into heaven of God’s elect people) will occur at the end of the 23-year great tribulation.  On October 21st, the world will be destroyed by fire (7000 years from the flood; 13,023 years from creation).

I want to say that if not Raptured, I want to be standing next to a guy stopped at a light, in a new Porsche.  I'll have a nice new car & keys to his house!

Engineering and Construction of the Mayans

Engineering An Empire : The Maya: Death Empire.
I watched this on the International History Channel this AM.  Many facts of the Mayan design and construction process of their cities and monuments were interesting.  Hidden passageways and chambers within the pyramids for example.  Their understanding of mathematics and geometry, astronomy, and other science was beyond their time.
Then I realised their entire Empire was on the Yucatan peninsula...the area impacted by the asteroid that killed the dinosaurs. Coincidence...or was there some remnant that drove them...much like the Black Obelisk in the movie "2001-Space Odyssey"?  Much like the metallic meteorite that exists in the black cube in Mecca!
Time will tell...2012 is almost here.

Obama Election Campaign 2012

Isn't anyone outraged by this campaign at taxpayers expense?  Using "Town Meetings" to spew his Liberal garbage on jobs, the economy, Libya, in a vain attempt at re-election...OUTRAGEOUS!  America had had enough "Change'...ALL FOR THE WORST!

The only people who support Obama are the Liberals with their hands out for the Government Dole...initiated by another Democrat named Lyndon B Johnson.  Democrats and Liberals are destroying America!  Conservatives, who are the majority in this country, need to take back the United States!  Fire Obama and his Socialist Liberal ilk in 2012!

"Blogcast"

Been doing "Homework" on Podcasts.  Appear to have all the equipment and proper software.  Found a few sites to upload to, and have been listening to a few.  Nothing appears beyond my creativity to produce something of equal quality.  Currently choosing theme music, sound effects, etc!  Creation is so much fun! Research seems to show people doing daily or once per week Podcasts.  since I use Twitter, Facebook daily, I am leaning for once per week!  Watch this Blog for further news!

"Blogcast" Still in Development

Well, I have all the equipment for my Blogcast...headphones & microphone and software.  Unfortunately I am in a four month, rain everyday, funk of "Winter Blahs" and just can't get motivated or get the energy to accomplish my tasks.  I think there may be a pill for that!  Maybe if the sun ever shines again and the temp gets above having to wear a sweater inside, sleep in sweats, and constantly turn the heat on, I'll get recharged.  I see a pattern here.  OMG, it's almost 'Procrastination'. my old enemy!  Yikes.  Carry on.

Radiation, Agent Orange, Depleted Uranium...No Danger...You Are Safe!

I was shocked and surprised that the Obama Administration, CNN, FOX and other network talking heads were blathering that there was no danger from the Japanese Nuclear Meltdown.  The Japanese Government is perhaps the worst, most likely to prevent panic, but still down playing the facts.

Fact: Radiation will kill you!  Any amount is bad for you!  That's why they use it to kill cancer cells...Hello?

The US Government, for decades, has ignored the perils and deadly results of radioactive fallout from the above ground nuclear tests in the 40's to 60's, but also from Agent Orange in Vietnam, and the depleted Uranium in Gulf War I.  The majority, yea, all of these false claims and dearth of information, is to "Cover Their Ass" from liability and lawsuits!  Meanwhile people get sick and die.  Nice.

As everyone learned after Hurricane Katrina...the Government won't save you!  FEMA is as incompetent and useless in a crisis, as no help at all.  Why trust anyone else with your life and the lives of your loved ones.  Information is power and it will save your life.  Be proactive, not reactive. Below under "Survival Sources" are some sources of information about radiation, potassium iodide, etc.  Learn and live!

IDA Savings Account...Too Good to be True!

OK, our Building Newsletter had an article for an IDA savings account; matching savers deposits $3 for every $1 saved.  WOW, sounds too good to be true?  Yes, the devil's in the details.  Seems the account is only for people who are buying a home (not mentioned in the article).  There is a $4000 maximum account...and, you have to have a minimum income of $38,000.  HUH?  WTH?  No where in Portland, Oregon can you even begin to buy even a studio condo on that income.  Average home or condo is at least $300,000.  Our building is all 55 age & older, as are most of the Landlords buildings; 99% are retired and on Social Security.  In fact the maximum income you can have, and live here is $2200/mo!  Don't you hate it when organizations try to blow smoke up your ass?  I do.

World Ends Soon?...Who Gets the Last Laugh?

OK, The World ends on May 21, 2011 and Jesus Returns on May 23, 2011...a bus bench says so.  The Mayans and many other groups go for the 12-21-12 date.  Regardless, if either is correct, who gets the last laugh?  The folks who believe?  The ones who scoff, and are taken by surprise?  Certainly liberals and New Ager's won't be laughing...they don't believe in anything!  The believers will chuckle and grin their "I told you so" grins at the fools who doubted, me among them, then disappear in a glowing ball of plasma!

Dreams of the Multiverse

OK, don't usually talk about my vivid dreams, but this last one was unusual.  First let me state that my dreads are in THX sound,  6 X 9 HD, and vivid colour!  Last night as the dream unfolded, it was made clear by a series of events that all dreams are from your doppelganger in the multiverse duplicate Earths and are all connected.

In one Earth I had come upon writings and scrapbooks from a girlfriend who had records not only of me since birth, but several generations of Grandparents!  Also there were "Watchers" human and little robot droids that kept an eye on you!  Needless to say after 10 hours of this mischief, I woke exhausted!

But it was only a dream right?  Maybe, maybe not!

Civil Unrest in America...A Thought

Can civil unrest happen in America?  It has in the past, "The Civil War", probably was the largest.  A few riots here and there from Labor strikes; oh, the Native American massacres!  Then during the Vietnam War, hippies and draft-dodging, anti-war protesters caused some mischief.  Let's not forget the African-American riots in 1968, etc.

So there has been unrest, a little violence, but no real Government response or put down of the insurrection by armed force, like in Libya and the other Middle East countries at the current time.  Can it happen?

The military takes an oath to protect America from all forces, both foreign and domestic...which may include 'you'!  The USA has obviously lots of guns in the hands of civilians...but the military has 'stuff'...intelligence, tanks, fighter jets, the NSA, CIA, & FBI.  I doubt a bunch of 20 something's would get very far in armed rebellion against the Federal Government.

But discuss among yourselves, what US President in the last 100 years, would most likely resort to armed military response to a massive civilian armed protest?

Some Thoughts

OK, the world is going to hell.

What if:  What if the entire world events are exactly as the Bible, Koran, and Talmud explains and writes?

Dogma slobbers all over your rug!

2012 is the End and there is no replay or escape!

WTF?

What the hell is up with Liberals?  Since 1970 they have been clueless and dumb fucks, asshole hippies and anarchists!  I say, just shoot them like rats & mad dogs...oh wait, that would be Qaddafi!

I feel sorry for the 4 Billion humans that will die in the next 18 months!  Oops!

The Middle East Unrest...Armageddon in Training?

Since Egypt's ouster of Mubarak, the Middle East has continued to self-detruct.  Country after country are having unrest, protests, and yes, even deaths.

In a supreme move of utter stupidity, Iran has sent two navel warships through the Suez Canal to prop up Hezbollah in Lebanon and Syria.  Israel does not like this.  Well, duh!

Where is this going in the next few days or months?  Can this be Armageddon in training?

Beggars Evidently Can Be Choosers!

Portland has hundreds of young, 17-25 year old "street people".  Many are hyped on Meth or other drugs, bouncing around like preschoolers!  They'll sit on sidewalks for hours with their little cardboard signs, begging for money,  supposedly for food.  Portland, however has dozens of "Soup Kitchens", all over the city serving from breakfast to dinner!

So one asks me yesterday for money so he can eat  I say back to him, "Dude, there is free food all over the city!"  His reply?  "Not right here!"  Lazy little asshole!

If these were my kids, I'd kick their ass for begging and being slackers (watch "Portlandia", it's all true).  And yes, most have Pitt Bulls.  If they can't take care of themselves, how can they maintain a dog (unlicensed & probably no shots).

They beg for money to buy their next fix or bottle of cheap wine to get a buzz...not to eat.  Their choice...as is mine to never give them a dime!

World Collapse Continues Since Last Post:

I Tweet so much, I no longer blog.  My bad.  My recent bout with the evil "Flu' had me glued to the TV watching violence in Egypt and killer snow storms.  Of course the average layman has not noticed this has gotten steadily worse over the last 18 months, getting even worse at 2012 approaches.  I am not making this up...please Google stuff...read, research...events in the world are at all time highs of violence, and natural disasters of historical proportions.

What can you do?  Nothing...it is ordained, part of prophecy... as it is written, it shall be done.  But you can't bury your head in the sand or ignore it either.  Ignorance is not bliss. Who knows, knowledge may be power, it may matter after all.

2011...The Chaos Continues!

"Biblical Sized Floods in Australia; epic winter storms in the US and Europe; earthquakes; mysterious bird and fish deaths; diseases like "bird flu" and "hoof & mouth" in Korea; murder/suicides abound; war and rumors of war....these are all signs of "The Warning"
